210 GUIDED TYPE FALL ARREST SYSTEM FOR . . . . . . . . .

Uniline Safety Systems Ltd manufacture engineered safety systems for use by personnel involved in procedures whilst working at heights.

Uniline Fall Protection Systems – to EN795 class A, C & D
Uniline’s fall protection systems allow users to access areas that would other wise be considered dangerous. Systems include the Award Winning Uniline Synthetic Cable System, Uni-8 Stainless Steel Cable System and Uniline Roofsafe™ and UniRail™ Aluminium Rail Systems and EasyClimber Vertical Fall Protection System. All systems offer the capability of hands free use and complete freedom of movement through ingenious and patented travelling attachment devices. The user or users are able to access all areas of the system without the need to detach at any time. All Uniline System designs are simulated using Uniline for Windows™ Software to ensure they are safe for use within the parameters of the buildings design.

UniRail System - A rigid, extruded aluminium rail system - EN 795 Class D - CE Approved.
Designed to provide a safety solution for a wide variety of access problems, such as window cleaning, vehicle access, gutter cleaning and specialised access problems such as water treatment tanks and other cylindrical vessels or structures. It can also be used as a suspended access system by window cleaners employing rope access techniques.
The system provides a continuous attachment where a fall hazard exists via a four wheel attachment carriage. The system can be used as a proactive restraining system for multiple users, as a fall arrest system for two users and as an abseiling system for such activities as window cleaning. The system has been designed to facilitate ease of installation and to allow for thermal expansion and contraction during seasonal temperature variations, achieved by way of anchorages that when fixed to a structure allow the rail to float. It can be formed to accommodate changes of gradient and direction in both axes of the rail extrusion, ensuring continuous attachment and total functionality and freedom of movement for the user. As the rail system acts like a beam, the loads on the system are limited to a maximum of 6kN per user. A safety factor of 2 should be allowed for at the structural fixing points.
Two types of UniRail fixing systems are available:
Concealed fix - The anchorages and joints of the system can be fixed to the structure so that the fasteners cannot be seen. The anchorages are fitted to the structure before the rail is slid in position. This provides a more aesthetically pleasing solution.
Slide fix - Provides maximum installation flexibility because the fasteners are left exposed, allowing the anchorages to be slid onto the rail and the whole rail section, including the anchorages can be offered up to the structure, for marking, drilling and fixing. For system maintenance and inspections, the fasteners remain exposed enabling maintenance engineers to conduct pull-out tests or check that torque settings remain at the correct level.
Consult the Uniline Safety Systems technical literature for details. Uniline Safety Systems can also offer a complete service of consultation, design, installation, test, commissioning and after sales service through an international network of approved installers, who also offer a full range of associated height safety products. It is recommended that they are consulted early in the design process.
